This role owns full-cycle talent acquisition for warehouse, driver (CDL and non-CDL), and other frontline operations positions across Chicago and the Atlanta (Tucker, GA area) market, working onsite.
Role Overview
The Recruiter will source, screen, interview, and hire candidates to meet staffing needs in both locations. The position partners closely with warehouse and operations managers to confirm role qualifications and shift requirements, while maintaining compliant hiring practices aligned to applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end recruiting for warehouse, driver (CDL and non-CDL), and other frontline operations roles across Chicago and Atlanta.
- Partner with warehouse and operations managers to understand staffing needs, shift requirements, and role qualifications.
- Source candidates through job boards, driver-specific platforms, social media, referrals, and local community outreach.
- Screen resumes and applications and conduct phone or video interviews to evaluate qualifications, licensing, and fit.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and manage candidate communication during the process.
- Maintain accurate requisition tracking and candidate pipelines in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Extend offers and manage the offer-to-start process, including background checks, drug screens, and DOT compliance documentation for driver roles.
- Track recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and offer-acceptance rate, and report progress to management.
- Represent the company at job fairs and hiring events in both markets.
- Ensure hiring practices comply with DOT, FMCSA, EEOC, and other applicable federal and state regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs Degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of recruiting experience, ideally in high-volume warehouse, logistics, or transportation or driver hiring.
- Familiarity with CDL licensing requirements and driver qualification and DOT compliance files, or the ability to learn quickly.
- Experience using an ATS and sourcing platforms, including Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and LinkedIn.
- Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple open requisitions across two markets at once.
- Positive working attitude, patience, attention to detail, and flexibility.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) experience.
- Prior experience recruiting for logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or transportation companies.
- Knowledge of local Chicago and Atlanta labor markets.
Location and Compensation
This onsite role is based in Chicago, IL or Atlanta (Tucker, GA area). Salary range is USD 60,000 - 80,000 per year.
