Job Description
Kaizen is hiring a Senior Recruiter, GTM for a hybrid role based in New York or Washington, DC. In this position, you will build recruiting that is relationship-first, candidate-focused, and grounded in how people actually find their next role. Kaizen’s benefits package is comprehensive, with 100% employee coverage for medical, dental, and vision, generous time off, and ongoing support for family building and professional growth.
Work model: Hybrid with frequent in-office presence Monday to Thursday. Candidates must reside or be able to commute to NYC or DC to work out of the office at least four times per week.
Compensation: $140,000 - $170,000 per year.
What you will do
- Own full-cycle recruiting for federal sales hiring initiatives, G&A, and operations, from intake through offer
- Design and run relationship-based sourcing strategies, building pipeline through real outreach and follow-through instead of relying on inbound or job boards
- Deliver a white-glove candidate experience across every touchpoint, from first outreach to offer stage
- Use AI tools as a core part of sourcing, screening, and pipeline management
- Partner directly with hiring managers across federal sales, G&A, and ops to translate vague hiring needs into sharp, specific searches
- Build sourcing pipelines for thin or highly specialized talent pools, particularly federal/public sector sales talent
- Represent Kaizen’s mission credibly to candidates who could work anywhere, connecting their goals to the impact of government technology
What you bring
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a track record of owning searches independently
- Experience recruiting for GTM, sales, or G&A, ideally with some exposure to federal, public sector, or specialized talent pools
- A relationship-first sourcing approach that emphasizes pipeline building through outreach and follow-through
- Day-to-day fluency with AI tools as an essential part of the workflow
- Comfort operating with minimal process and building your own structure as you go
Benefits at Kaizen
- Medical: 100% coverage for employees (Gold and Platinum PPO) through Oxford/United; dental PPO through Guardian; vision through Beam, with 100% coverage for dependents
- Life insurance: $100,000 fully paid
- FSA: FSA and Dependent Care FSA
- One Medical membership: included, with same-day primary care, 24/7 virtual visits, and offices across the city
- Fertility and family-building support: through Carrot
- 401(k): Guideline with a 2% company match
- Parental leave: 16 weeks fully paid for birthing parents; 10 weeks fully paid for non-birthing parents
- Time off: Unlimited PTO with a two-week minimum; closed for all federal holidays; company winter break the week of Christmas
- Company offsites throughout the year
- Home office/desk stipend: up to $750 one-time for NYC-based employees; $500 for remote employees
- Commuter benefit: $50/month company contribution
- In-office support: expensed lunch; dinner and Uber rides home expensed if working in the office past 7pm
- Equipment: company-provided laptop of your choice
- Fitness reimbursement: NYC employees receive fully covered Grindhouse gym membership; non-NYC employees get $100/month reimbursement
- Additional stipends: $100/month utility stipend; $250/quarter home cleaning; $500/year professional development; $250/year recreation; $300/quarter pet care
Strong candidate signals (optional)
- Experience recruiting into a startup or other high-ambiguity environment where roles get defined as you go
- Prior exposure to federal contracting, govtech, or public sector hiring
- Experience building or improving a recruiting process or tool stack, not just using one
Who should not apply
- If you want a fully-built process and steady inbound volume as your primary sourcing engine
- If you see AI tools as something to use occasionally rather than core recruiting infrastructure
- If you need extensive structure or sign-off to move a search forward
- If you view recruiting as seat-filling rather than ensuring the right hires shape trust with agencies served
