Job Description
The Real Estate Sales Manager role at The House Match Team is a salaried leadership position focused on building and scaling an agent team. This role owns recruiting, hiring, a structured 60-day Launchpad for new agents, and ongoing coaching and accountability.
Role Overview
As the Sales Manager, you will lead the growth of the agent roster through recruiting, interview decisions, and a repeatable onboarding and development process. The compensation includes a base salary and a bonus tied to team growth and production, aligning your results with the team’s outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the growth of the agent team through recruiting, hiring, the 60-day Launchpad, and coaching that helps agents progress from capable to consistent.
- Recruit great agents by representing House Match to agents considering a change, and to new licensees exploring where to begin. Support recruiting through licensing schools, agents at other brokerages, referrals, and events, and build a pipeline.
- Hire the right candidates by running interviews and making final hiring decisions.
- Run the 60-day Launchpad for every new agent, including systems, scripts, shadowing, first appointments, and first contracts, with clear milestones for each cohort. Own the program and improve it over time.
- Deliver coaching and accountability against a written standard covering prospecting, appointment asks, database growth, and pipeline discipline. Track each agent’s numbers, run one-on-ones, conduct role-play and script certification, and intervene early with a plan when someone is off track. Support progression by opening the door when an agent is ready.
- Grow team production through closings, listings, contracts, and GCI at the team level, along with performance indicators such as the share of agents meeting the standard and the share still present and thriving a year later. Recommend promotions to the next tier based on the numbers.
- Continuously improve the sales process by refining the Launchpad, training calendar, and script library. Maintain a direct line to leadership for changes that can be implemented.
Requirements
- Experience recruiting and hiring agents.
- Experience launching new licensees.
- Interest in coaching and the ability to hold an honest conversation.
- Ability to lead the appointment (listing presentation, buyer consultation, and the Florida contract) sufficiently to teach and certify others on it.
- Readiness to be measured on other people’s careers instead of chasing personal deals.
- Experience leading without producing previously is a plus.
- Willingness to be in the room: the seat is in the Lakewood Ranch office every day for interviews, role-play, ride-alongs, and team energy.
- Active Florida real estate license in good standing.
Technology
Works with an in-house tech-stack.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary plus a bonus tied to roster growth and team production.
- Health, vision, and dental coverage, including dental insurance, health insurance, life insurance, and vision insurance.
- Real ownership of recruiting, hiring, Launchpad, and coaching, supported by a Broker/Owner who backs decisions instead of second-guessing.
- Operations support behind the agents so new hires can sell from week one.
- A written position description, a weekly scorecard, and a quarterly conversation covering performance and next steps.
- Career growth path: Sales Manager to Senior Sales Manager to Director of Sales, earned on written criteria reviewed each quarter.
- A client-first team culture where clients are treated as Forever Clients and teammates are treated the same way.
Who Will Succeed in This Role
- Built a team before, or observed how teams can fail and knows what would be done differently.
- Has recruited and hired agents and can share examples of agents still performing because of their work.
- Understands the difference between giving a login and getting a new licensee to a first closing.
- Can coach through honest conversations and continue running the appointment process when needed.
- Is comfortable being in the Lakewood Ranch office every day.
- Holds an active Florida real estate license in good standing.
Application Questions
- How many real estate agents have you personally recruited and hired in your career?
- In two or three sentences, describe a time you helped an agent who was off track get back on track. What did you say, and what happened?
License/Certification
- Florida real estate license (preferred).
Work Location
In person in Lakewood Ranch, FL.
