Job Description
MUSC's Medical University Hospital Authority seeks an onsite Talent Acquisition Recruiter I or II in Charleston, SC to source, qualify, and influence MUHA/MUSC talent while developing recruitment strategies and talent pipelines for current and future openings.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate MUHA talent acquisition efforts and partner with HR Business Partners to design and execute strategies around employment branding, community outreach, talent pipelines, job boards, college development programs, and apprenticeship initiatives.
- Engage in discussions with stakeholders on diversity in recruitment, staffing, and succession planning.
- Identify and apply HR and healthcare sourcing best practices and trends, aligning them with the organization’s strategic plan.
- Research and propose cost-effective short and long term recruitment strategies to maintain a robust talent pipeline.
- Utilize innovative screening techniques to ensure a qualified applicant pool is referred.
- Assist with screening applications against minimum requirements as needed.
- Provide guidance on interview methods and train hiring managers to foster a diverse and inclusive workforce.
- Coordinate the use of social media and networking groups to actively recruit candidates.
- Leverage digital media, job boards, and related systems to promote the organization, build pipelines, and cultivate a diverse candidate pool.
- Collaborate with HR and organizational stakeholders to enhance recruitment through benefits, competitive salaries, onboarding incentives, and other best practices to attract talent.
- Standardize the recruitment process to deliver a seamless onboarding experience from pre-boarding through the first months of employment.
- Coordinate participation in job-specific career fairs, align with local Veterans transition programs, and engage various programs to recruit a diverse workforce.
- Work with MUSC entities to design and schedule an in-house career fair for enterprise recruitment.
- Contribute to budgeting decisions to allocate resources for recruitment efforts.
- Adhere to standardized processes, protocols, and timelines to support successful recruitment outcomes.
- Complete provider searches from initial approval through final negotiations.
- Prepare comprehensive position profiles outlining challenges, recruitment barriers, and candidate parameters.
- Provide compensation recommendations to leadership when appropriate.
- Screen, qualify, and thoroughly vet candidates using established guidelines and tools.
- Prepare and distribute candidate profiles with interview notes, resumes, references, and related materials to stakeholders.
- Serve as primary contact for APP candidates throughout the recruitment process, including on-site or virtual interviews.
- Develop and maintain relationships with fellowship programs to strengthen the recruitment pipeline.
- Support additional MUHA recruitment and sourcing needs as requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university; or a high school diploma or equivalent with two years of progressively responsible business or customer service experience in a dynamic, diverse environment.
- Human resources or payroll experience is preferred.
- PHR or SHRM certifications are accepted in lieu of experience.
