Talent Acquisition Specialist & HR Coordinator
Job Description
The Talent Acquisition Specialist and HR Coordinator role focuses on attracting, recruiting, and onboarding caregivers and support staff, serving as the primary contact throughout the hiring process and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement recruiting strategies to increase both the volume and quality of caregiver applicants.
- Actively source candidates through job boards, social media, networking events, community partnerships, schools, and referral programs.
- Lead field recruiting efforts, including job fairs, career events, and community outreach activities.
- Identify and engage passive candidates currently employed by competitors or other healthcare organizations.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future staffing needs.
- Monitor recruiting metrics and propose improvements to hiring processes and sourcing channels.
- Review applications and assess candidate qualifications.
- Conduct initial phone screens and interviews to evaluate fit and readiness.
- Assess culture fit, professionalism, reliability, and caregiving competencies.
- Coordinate interviews with branch leadership as needed.
- Maintain accurate applicant records and documentation throughout the process.
- Manage candidates through all stages of the hiring process from application to onboarding.
- Coordinate background checks, employment verifications, and pre-employment requirements.
- Ensure all hiring documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate regularly with candidates to maintain engagement through onboarding.
- Monitor onboarding progress and proactively address delays or barriers.
- Ensure new hires attend scheduled orientation sessions and complete required training.
- Facilitate a smooth handoff from recruiting to operations and introduce new employees to their Care Coordinator and branch team.
- Support employee engagement during the initial 90 days of employment.
- Conduct follow-up calls with newly hired employees to assess experience and integration.
- Identify early retention concerns and partner with branch leadership to resolve issues.
- Assist with employee recognition and referral initiatives and support workforce development programs and recruiting campaigns.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of recruiting, staffing, customer service, healthcare, or related experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to build relationships and influence candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and recruiting technology platforms.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience recruiting caregivers, CNAs, HHAs, DSPs, or other healthcare personnel.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems.
- Knowledge of home care, healthcare staffing, or human resources practices.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
