Job Description

The Recruiting Coordinator role supports Community Health Systems, Inc. (CHSI) in sourcing and evaluating candidates, advising managers on staffing decisions, and coordinating relocations and intern programs. The position emphasizes building strong relationships with hiring managers to stay aligned with current and future staffing and business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Articulate and reinforce CHSI's guiding principles, objectives, and policies across recruitment activities.
  • Define staffing requirements by reviewing organizational plans and meeting with managers to understand needs.
  • Assess candidate qualifications through structured interviews, response analysis, reference checks, and alignment with job criteria.
  • Coordinate candidate evaluations with managers and interview applicants against standardized qualifications.
  • Oversee mid-level and physician intern/residency programs, including orientations, rotation scheduling, monitoring contributions, coaching interns, and advising managers on training.
  • Maintain ongoing engagement with hiring managers to monitor current and anticipated recruitment needs.
  • Source applicants by posting roles, contacting recruiters, and leveraging job boards and networks.
  • Expand knowledge through educational opportunities, professional publications, personal networks, and organizational involvement.
  • Coordinate interview logistics for management-level candidates, including schedules, travel, lodging, meals, and site tours.
  • Ensure compliance with current employment laws, guide managers on regulations, propose procedures, and provide training.
  • Develop diverse candidate pipelines by engaging community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and online platforms; present information about the organization and opportunities; maintain relationships.
  • Determine candidate requirements by studying job descriptions and qualifications.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate information, including resumes, applications, and background checks.
  • Organize physical and digital recruitment files for easy retrieval.
  • Coordinate background checks to ensure timely completion and compliance with company standards.
  • Enhance organizational attractiveness by proposing policy updates, monitoring offers and compensation practices, and highlighting benefits.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, whether formally or informally, verbally or in writing.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze information and communicate clearly in both spoken and written form.
  • Knowledge of anti-discrimination laws, employment law, and best hiring practices.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, exercise sound judgment, and listen effectively.
  • Strong internet research, interviewing, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time and projects efficiently.
  • Strong people skills and professional telephone etiquette.
  • Results-driven and service-oriented mindset.

Compensation

Hourly wage ranges from USD 34 to USD 44.
