HR Recruiting Specialist

An on site HR Recruiting Specialist role with a growing food manufacturing operation in Corfu, New York. The position emphasizes full cycle recruiting and payroll, alongside day-to-day HR support.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete recruitment process from sourcing and screening to interviewing and coordinating hiring decisions.
• Maintain regular communication with candidates to ensure a positive candidate experience.
• Partner with hiring managers to assess staffing needs and define role requirements.
• Identify candidates through job boards, local outreach, and referrals.
• Conduct interviews, extend offers, and manage the onboarding process.
• Develop talent pipelines for high-volume and hard-to-fill roles.
• Keep accurate HR records and manage HRIS systems.
• Prepare new hire documentation and ensure completion of required forms.
• Coordinate onboarding orientation and set up system access for new hires.
• Maintain accurate employee records within HR systems.
• Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including wage calculations, deductions, and tax withholdings.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure timely and accurate pay distribution.
• Reconcile payroll discrepancies and respond to employee payroll inquiries.
• Support audits and reporting requirements.
• Participate in employee engagement activities.
• Perform additional HR duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Business or a related field.
• Proficiency with payroll software; Paylocity experience is a plus.
• Minimum experience: 3 years.
• Three to five years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong confidentiality and discretion.
• Highly organized and resourceful, with the ability to identify nontraditional recruiting opportunities.
• Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• On-site presence required five days a week.

Compensation

USD 65,000 - 75,000 per year.
