Driver Recruiter
Job Description
RoadOne IntermodaLogistics is hiring a Driver Recruiter onsite in Lincoln Park, MI to recruit, screen, interview, and contract drivers for Independent Contractor and Company Driver roles.
Responsibilities
- Market the company image to potential independent contractors
- Understand geography, customers, and capacity requirements
- Maintain effective working relationships with Area Directors and Service Center Management
- Develop location specific recruiting plans with Service Center Managers
- Communicate Service Center recruiting and retention performance
- Identify capacity needs and implement effective recruiting campaigns
- Pre screen inbound leads for minimum hiring requirements
- Provide applicants with the most current company and area information
- Provide current drivers and applicants information regarding the RoadPerk programs
- Receive complete and accurate applications from all qualified leads
- Enter and maintain lead information in OSCER, e-driver, TenStreet or other tracking programs
- Schedule candidate interviews with Service Center Managers
- Schedule drug screens, physicals, and truck inspections
- Schedule new driver orientation and training for all new drivers
- Conduct new driver orientation where applicable
- Assist with onboarding document completion when necessary
- Support retention plan by conducting follow up calls as needed
- Process changes, updates, cancellations and transfers to current leases and truck insurance programs, including but not limited to Truck Insurance Program Plate Program IFTA Program
- Possess sufficient knowledge of Owner Operator programs to provide training and answer questions
- Maintain sufficient supply of handouts for recruiting and retention use
- Direct drivers to appropriate party for Contractor health insurance and other programs
- Present information at safety and operations meetings when requested
- Develop knowledge base of all customers
- Understand customer volume fluctuations and potential growth and their impact on capacity requirements
- Support retention initiatives using RoadPerk programs and the 90-Day Retention Program
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Bi lingual Spanish preferred
- Approximately 2 years of relative experience or education preferred
- Knowledge of computer systems and internet
- Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to make independent judgments
- Some travel is possible
- Ability to travel and deliver or place flyers, curb signs, and other material in strategic locations as needed

Compensation and Work Details
- Salary: USD 55,000 - 65,000 per year
