CDL Driver Recruiter

Onsite opportunity in Hammond, IN with United Transport for a CDL Driver Recruiter. This role supports growth by building a steady pipeline of qualified CDL Driver candidates, while also helping strengthen long-term driver retention through clear engagement and consistent communication. You will educate prospects about the company, manage lead flow from first contact to hire, and stay current on company policies across key operational areas.

What you will do

• Proactively source active and passive CDL Driver candidates, including employee referrals, walk-in applicants, rehires, networking, internal databases, and innovative research tactics.
• Engage with the industry and prospects across online platforms to generate and expand lead opportunities.
• Manage and process all new leads to ensure timely, organized follow-up.
• Develop relationships with leads and cultivate connections that support a successful hire.
• Assist with driver retention through ongoing driver engagement and communication.
• Maintain current knowledge of company policies and procedures, with focus areas including Operations, Safety, Human Resources, Maintenance, and Payroll.

What you bring

• Education: High School Diploma with some secondary education or experience in business, accounting, or a related field.
• Communication: Strong communication skills.
• Work organization: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.

Relevant experience

• Previous Trucking/Logistics experience.
• Previous CDL driving experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of FMCSA/DOT rules and regulations is a plus.
