Driver Recruiter

McCormick Trucking is seeking a Driver Recruiter to support onsite hiring in Murfreesboro, TN. In this role, you will manage high-volume, full-cycle driver recruitment, partnering closely with the Planning Team and Human Resources to attract, select, and retain strong drivers while strengthening the overall talent pipeline.

You will shape the recruiting approach, manage candidate activity from first contact through onboarding, and serve as a consistent point of contact during selection and the first 60 days of employment. The position also includes staying current on relevant transportation and DOT requirements and helping uphold the company’s safety goals.

Responsibilities

• Own the driver recruiting process by shaping and implementing the overall recruiting strategy
• Lead high-volume full cycle recruiting from engagement through onboarding
• Source candidates using referrals, databases, social media, and other recruiting channels
• Screen applicants, conduct interviews, and close offers
• Assess candidates’ knowledge, experience, and qualifications relevant to driver roles
• Onboard new employees so they become fully integrated into the team
• Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process and the first 60 days of employment
• Maintain working knowledge of transportation laws, DOT regulations, and company hiring criteria, while supporting and promoting company safety goals
• Schedule training, drug screens, and other pre-hire qualifications tied to employee and Driver Qualification requirements

Requirements

• Direct work experience as a Driver Recruiter as either an in-house recruiter or staffing agency recruiter is preferred
• Effective sales skills
• Familiarity with ATS, HRIS, and Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong relationship-building ability
• Self-starter mindset with urgency and accountability
