Talent Acquisition Partner (Recruiter)

State Affairs is seeking a Talent Acquisition Partner (Recruiter) to lead full-cycle recruiting in Washington, DC on an onsite basis. This role focuses on sourcing and attracting high-impact talent while partnering closely with leadership and hiring managers to strengthen the pipeline and improve recruiting operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers to understand business priorities, team structures, and role requirements.
• Source and attract top-tier talent through ongoing, proactive recruiting efforts.
• Build and maintain talent intelligence, including target organization charts, compensation benchmarks, and competitive insights.
• Own the full recruiting lifecycle, covering sourcing, screening, scheduling, interview coordination, feedback collection, offer management, and closing.
• Position open roles effectively to qualified candidates.
• Provide a high-touch candidate experience that supports employer brand strength and helps keep future hires engaged.
• Maintain pipeline hygiene in the applicant tracking system (Greenhouse) to ensure data is clean, accurate, and actionable.
• Use recruiting analytics to monitor funnel performance, identify trends, and optimize for speed and quality.
• Stay current on hiring trends, competitive moves, and emerging talent pools.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional work experience in talent acquisition.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
• Knowledge of applicant tracking systems, with Greenhouse preferred, and experience using tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter for sourcing.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including correspondence etiquette.
• Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior professional experience handling talent-related operations such as onboarding.
• Prior professional experience in a start-up organization.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: USD 122,000 - 142,000 per year.
