Job Description
The Talent Acquisition Partner at Mclane Company, Inc. supports company growth in a fast-paced setting by identifying, attracting, and engaging high-quality candidates. The onsite role in Lockbourne, OH 43137 focuses on pipeline development, requisition management in the applicant tracking system, employment law compliance, and consistent candidate communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to meet talent needs for an assigned area.
- Proactively source and maintain applicant pipelines through community partners, schools, networking, job boards, and social media.
- Coordinate recruiting marketing activities with hiring leaders and marketing teams.
- Use recruiting tools and technology to improve efficiency and candidate experience.
- Manage requisition creation and hiring actions in the applicant tracking system using input from hiring managers.
- Ensure recruiting activities comply with employment laws, including OFCCP and EEOC.
- Build candidate flow for current and future hiring needs through networking by phone, social media, and other sourcing channels.
- Source, prescreen, and assess candidates using resume reviews and interviews conducted virtually, by phone, or in person.
- Communicate the company value proposition, job responsibilities, compensation, benefits, and advancement opportunities to candidates.
- Partner with hiring managers to evaluate candidate fit for behavioral and technical competencies.
- Provide hiring managers with updates on candidate status, hiring progress, timelines, and challenges.
- Coordinate interview logistics and candidate engagement throughout the selection process.
- Track and report recruitment metrics on a weekly basis.
- Continue professional development to stay current on recruiting best practices and industry trends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- At least 2 years of high-volume recruiting in warehouse or logistics settings.
- Proven capability to build candidate pipelines through direct sourcing, networking, and social media.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to share complex or new information.
- Friendly and effective communication with hiring managers, candidates, and colleagues.
- Ability to deliver a world-class candidate experience.
- Understanding of business needs and the ability to communicate them.
- Knowledge of hiring-related legislation including Title VII, PDA, ADEA, ADA, GINA, IRCA, FCRA, and OFCCP.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience recruiting distribution center teammates and CDL-A drivers, consulting with hiring managers, using HRIS and ATS software, running job fairs, and conducting situational or behavioral interviewing.
