Job Description

McLane Company seeks a Talent Acquisition Partner to identify, attract, and engage candidates, develop recruitment strategies, and oversee the full hiring process to support company growth. This onsite role is based in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

  • Form and execute targeted recruitment plans to fulfill talent needs in the designated geographic area.
  • Proactively build and sustain candidate pipelines through partnerships with communities, educational institutions, networking, job boards, and social channels.
  • Coordinate recruiting marketing initiatives with hiring managers and the marketing function.
  • Leverage recruiting technology and tools to improve efficiency and candidate experience.
  • Oversee requisition creation and the hiring workflow in the applicant tracking system with input from hiring managers.
  • Ensure adherence to employment laws and regulations, including OFCCP and EEOC.
  • Network via phone, social platforms, and other channels to generate candidate flow for current and future needs.
  • Source, prescreen, and evaluate candidates through resume reviews and interviews conducted virtually, by phone, or in person.
  • Present the organization's value proposition, role expectations, compensation, benefits, and advancement opportunities to candidates.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to evaluate candidate fit for behavioral and technical competencies.
  • Provide ongoing updates to hiring managers on candidate status, progress, timelines, and challenges.
  • Organize interview logistics and maintain candidate engagement throughout the process.
  • Monitor and report recruitment metrics on a weekly basis.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development to stay informed about recruiting best practices and industry trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • At least 2 years of high-volume recruiting in warehouse or logistics environments
  • Proven ability to build candidate pipelines through direct sourcing, networking, and social media
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for conveying complex or new information
  • A friendly, effective communicator with hiring managers, candidates, and colleagues
  • Ability to deliver a world-class candidate experience
  • Understanding of business needs and the ability to articulate them
  • Knowledge of hiring-related legislation (Title VII, PDA, ADEA, ADA, GINA, IRCA, FCRA, OFCCP)
  • Preferred: Experience recruiting distribution center teammates and CDL-A drivers, consulting with hiring managers, using HRIS and ATS software, conducting job fairs, and applying situational/behavioral interviewing
  • Preferred: Workday experience
