Talent Acquisition Lead
Job Description
Thuma is seeking a Talent Acquisition Lead to lead full-cycle recruiting and scale high-volume hiring across Retail, Cafe, CX, and Supply Chain. This onsite role in San Francisco focuses on creating strong, flexible pipelines, partnering closely with leaders, and improving the candidate journey with the right blend of hospitality and AI-enabled efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle recruiting for high-volume roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing.
- Build and manage pipelines across multiple markets that can flex to high volume while maintaining candidate experience and quality of hire.
- Apply a hospitality mindset to every candidate interaction and touchpoint.
- Partner with hiring managers and site leaders to forecast hiring needs, calibrate expectations for โgreat,โ and keep requisition pipelines moving.
- Identify and expand sourcing channels, iterating on approaches and sharing learnings to support future expansion.
- Monitor new hire review cycles and exit interviews to identify improvement opportunities.
- Represent the Thuma brand consistently during candidate communications and throughout the process.
- Partner with payroll on referral bonus tracking and processing.
- Manage a large, fast-moving requisition load with strong organization and consistent follow-through.
- Advise hiring managers with data-driven guidance and process improvements, rather than serving only as an intake order taker.
- Use AI tools as part of everyday recruiting work, including sourcing, screening, scheduling, and reporting, while preserving a personal candidate experience.
- Track and report pipeline health, time-to-fill, and other recruiting metrics.
- Coordinate with the People Team on onboarding handoffs to support smooth transitions from candidate to new hire.
- Support onboarding and orientation for new markets and flex to support corporate roles as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 2 to 4 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in high-volume hourly hiring for retail, hospitality, food and beverage, CX, or supply chain.
- Comfort aligning recruiting work with taste, design, luxury, and brand perspective.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to ask hard questions and provide detailed, timely feedback.
- Ability to innovate in high-volume hiring scenarios, using creative problem-solving rather than repeating the same process.
- Exceptional organization to manage high volumes of open requisitions and active candidates without losing details.
- Warm, positive energy in every candidate interaction, with a genuine passion for talent and helping people find roles where they will thrive.
- Experience and interest in using AI tools thoughtfully to improve recruiting efficiency and candidate experience.
- Experience with Rippling ATS is a plus.
- Ability to travel and plan hiring events, supporting brand expansion.

Role Details

- Compensation: USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year
- Minimum Experience: 2 years
