Job Description

The Talent Acquisition and Development Specialist role at Wilson Construction Co. in Canby, OR (onsite) centers on attracting, onboarding, and upskilling talent through targeted training aligned with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead talent acquisition and sourcing efforts to fill open roles.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, establish criteria, and standardize selection processes.
  • Build active, diverse pipelines through networks such as LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and community partnerships.
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment including resume screening, structured interviews, background checks, and offer negotiations.
  • Represent the company at career fairs, campus recruiting events, and related outreach initiatives.
  • Manage the candidate experience from initial contact through a comprehensive onboarding framework.

Employee Development

  • Assess skills and performance across departments to identify gaps and growth opportunities.
  • Facilitate professional development sessions, leadership programs, and targeted coaching for individuals and teams.
  • Administer the performance management process and help managers map clear internal career paths.
  • Spearhead succession planning initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • 2 to 5 years of HR experience with a track record in both recruitment and employee development.
  • Strong technical and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HRIS.
  • Data-driven decision making using talent analytics to identify pipeline or training gaps.
  • Excellent relationship-building and active listening abilities to earn trust across all levels of the organization.
