Recruiter - Trainee

Spherion Erie is hiring a high-energy Recruiter - Trainee to support full-cycle recruiting and strengthen partnerships with local clients across Erie County and surrounding areas. This full-time onsite role includes local client site visits, comprehensive benefits, and a base salary with performance incentives, bonuses, commission, flex-time, and additional paid time off. Schedule: 8am - 4:30pm (40 hours/week).
Location: Erie, PA (onsite).
Pay range: $35,000.00 to $42,000.00 USD annually.

What You’ll Do

• Source, screen, interview, test, and onboard qualified candidates for dedicated client accounts.
• Act as a primary point of contact for client managers, including local travel to client facilities for site walk-throughs, check-ins, and performance evaluations.
• Develop and maintain strong talent pipelines to support immediate and future high-volume or specialized hiring needs.
• Complete candidate paperwork and coordinate required steps accurately, including background checks, drug screenings, and client-specific onboarding requirements.
• Use the Applicant Tracking System to track key recruitment metrics, open requisitions, and placement retention rates.

What You Bring

• Full-cycle recruiting experience, including sourcing through onboarding for dedicated client accounts.
• Education: High School (Associates or higher preferred).
• Experience: 12 months (1+ years of expert customer service). Prior administrative role managing detail and clients.
• Comfort with computer systems and programs, including working across multiple systems and tools.
• Strong interpersonal skills with confidence interfacing with business clients and candidates.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, tight hiring deadlines, and field-based client visits.
• Ability to support compliance and data integrity through accurate, organized work.
