Job Description
Temporary-to-hire recruiter for skilled trades, focusing on full-cycle sourcing and relationship-building with hiring managers and candidates, remote in the New England region.
Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruiting for skilled trades roles from intake to offer and onboarding.
- Source and place candidates for high-demand field positions such as HVAC technicians, electricians, plumbers, and drain technicians.
- Cultivate and maintain candidate pipelines through sourcing, referrals, trade schools, apprenticeships, networking, and community outreach.
- Proactively engage passive candidates in competitive labor markets.
- Collaborate with hiring managers and operations leaders to define staffing needs, candidate profiles, and hiring priorities.
- Screen candidates, conduct interviews, and perform qualification assessments.
- Assess technical qualifications, certifications, and licensing requirements relevant to trades roles.
- Maintain candidate activity, requisitions, and progress within the applicant tracking system.
- Keep accurate candidate records and provide regular pipeline updates.
- Track recruiting metrics such as pipeline health, time-to-fill, and sourcing effectiveness.
- Support regional hiring initiatives and participate in local recruiting events as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum three years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
- Background recruiting for skilled trades, construction, manufacturing, field services, home services, or other high-volume environments preferred.
- Proven ability to attract and engage passive candidates.
- Strong relationship-building skills with candidates and hiring managers.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple openings in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication with a sense of urgency and follow-through.
- Experience using ATS systems and sourcing tools.
- Comfort with remote work while supporting regional hiring needs.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to branches, events, or meetings as required.
