Skilled Trades Recruiter
Job Description
Field of Talent is building a Recruiting as a Service (RaaS) strike team that scales skilled-trades hiring with scoped work, visible progress, and fees tied to value. This role is designed for a recruiter who wants their impact measured in hires and starts, not activity theater. You will work remotely with coverage in the Greater Boston/Lowell area as needed, with direct access to hiring managers and shared sourcing tools inside a small, early-stage recruiting team.
This Skilled Trades Recruiter role supports end-to-end recruiting for electro-mechanical technician positions at volume. The strike team is expected to fill up to 35 positions before the end of January 2027, and after that, hiring demand will continue to rise.
Responsibilities
- Fill priority skilled-trades roles (electro-mechanical technicians) at volume by collaborating on and executing a recruitment strategy
- Deliver qualified, interested candidates aligned with the real requirements while creating enough top-of-funnel for hiring events
- Build and maintain a living pipeline of talent as you go
- Run each search with clear scope, timeline, and status so hiring managers always know what is next
- Improve offer-accept and start rates by qualifying pay, shift, location, credentials, and culture fit before presenting candidates
- Conduct active searches using targeted outreach, referrals, military networks, and trade networks
- Own skilled-trades searches for a specific client to help them dramatically scale technician recruitment
- Recruit end-to-end to support a customer meeting manufacturing demand
Requirements
- Proven full-cycle recruiting experience in skilled trades, construction, AEC, industrial, or similar hands-on fields (not only corporate desk recruiting)
- Ability to turn a messy requisition into must-haves including licenses, tickets, tools, travel, union vs. open shop, and what “good” looks like on a jobsite
- Track record of candidate pipelines built by you, including calls, referrals, associations, job boards, and direct outreach (not inbound-only)
- Clear, candid communication with hiring managers and candidates, including hard news on comp, timeline, and fit
- Comfort owning metrics such as submittals that stick, interviews, offers, starts, and diagnosing why searches stall
- High integrity with confidential pay, project, and candidate information
- Must have US Citizenship
Salary and Location
USD 70,000 - 120,000 per yearly
Location: Boston, MA (remote), with some travel and nearby client-site coverage in the Greater Boston/Lowell area as needed.
What This Role Offers
- Work inside a small, early-stage recruiting team that sells outcomes, not hours
- Direct access to hiring managers, shared sourcing tools, and a flexible RaaS model with scoped work and visible progress
- Collaboration with recruiting leadership, shared sourcing and account partners, while owning your pipeline and client communication
- A desk that matters to crews and projects, with room to shape how trades recruiting is delivered with transparency
How to Apply
Tell us which trades you have filled, how you sourced them, and what “a good start” means to you.
