Compensation: USD 67,000 - 75,000 per year. This is a contract role.

About the role

Based in Charlotte, NC with hybrid work arrangements, the Healthcare Talent Acquisition Specialist leads end-to-end recruitment to build a qualified and diverse candidate pool. The role focuses on licensed, leadership, and other hard-to-fill positions across assigned programs, guiding hiring managers from initial contact through offer and onboarding.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong partnerships with hiring managers to identify staffing needs with a high level of customer focus
  • Collaborate with the hiring manager to define quality candidate profiles while respecting headcount budgets
  • Deliver a positive experience for every hiring manager and candidate from application to offer, drive the interview process, provide salary recommendations, and prepare job offers
  • Source candidates through online channels, social platforms, and professional networks
  • Coordinate interview and selection processes, including screening calls, assessments, and final interviews
  • Manage job requisition creation and approval, posting roles across all job boards and career sites
  • Create and design job offer letters and manage the approval workflow
  • Design job descriptions and interview questions aligned with the desired candidate profile
  • Coordinate and participate in job fairs and recruitment events
  • Foster long-term relationships with past applicants and passive candidates
  • Stay current with job market trends
  • Support recruitment efforts for new programs or business expansion
  • Assess candidate information using the applicant tracking system
  • Maintain recruitment metrics and trackers
  • Achieve goals and metrics defined by Talent Acquisition leadership
  • Lead employer branding efforts in partnership with Marketing to attract top talent
  • Promote diversity at all levels and support inclusion and belonging in hiring initiatives
  • Encourage teamwork and continuous learning within the TA team by sharing best practices and identifying growth areas

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in human resources
  • 2-5 years of full-cycle recruitment experience using diverse interview techniques and evaluation methods
  • Proven ability to build talent pipelines and source passive candidates
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, social media platforms, job posting platforms, and vendor relationships
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially over the telephone, in follow-ups, and in person
  • Travel required based on business needs
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old unless a state law specifies a different minimum age
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in line with HIPAA and professional standards
  • Ability to pass a seven-year background check
  • Ability to pass substance abuse and/or tuberculous testing (as applicable)
  • Ability to pass education verification
  • Ability to obtain designated fingerprinting clearance in applicable states
  • Ability to pass a three-year motor vehicle report and meet minimum insurance eligibility if driving is required

Physical Demands

May involve close work with computers and screens, frequent sitting, standing, walking, and handling. Requires finger dexterity, eye-hand-foot coordination, color vision, and use of corrected vision and hearing. May require lifting up to 20 pounds.

Work Environment

Work may occur in an office setting or a behavioral health facility and can involve contact with individuals who may be agitated or confused.
