Job Description
Vasco Asphalt Company LLC is hiring a Corporate Recruiter to support hiring across the United States for construction-related roles. This onsite position in Massillon, OH focuses on end-to-end recruiting, from strategy and sourcing to onboarding, while keeping the process compliant and data-driven to match the company’s growth needs.
What you’ll do
- Develop and run comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for construction-related positions.
- Own the end-to-end hiring process, including job posting, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing coordination, and partnering with hiring managers.
- Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline using proactive sourcing methods such as networking, job fairs, and online platforms.
- Collaborate with department leaders to assess hiring needs and provide guidance on market trends, salary benchmarks, and candidate availability.
- Ensure recruitment activities follow all applicable employment laws and company policies.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date recruitment records and reporting to track hiring metrics and improve processes.
- Promote the company’s employer brand to attract diverse and high-caliber talent.
- Facilitate onboarding to support a smooth transition into the organization.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of recruitment experience, preferably within construction or related industries.
- Strong understanding of recruitment best practices and U.S. employment laws.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software, preferably ADP Workforce Now.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with candidates and internal stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience recruiting for technical and skilled trade roles in construction.
- Professional certification such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with diversity and inclusion recruitment strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple requisitions and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of labor market trends specific to the construction sector.
