Job Description

CCi Voice seeks a seasoned Controller to own financial operations and administrative functions in a high-visibility leadership role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all accounting cycles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities
  • Lead monthly and year-end close processes to deliver timely, accurate financial statements
  • Establish and enforce internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
  • Oversee cash flow, banking relationships, and daily liquidity management
  • Compile and present monthly financial statements, variance analyses, and management reports to senior leadership
  • Define and monitor key financial metrics aligned with strategic goals, such as revenue growth, gross profit, and net profit margin
  • Support EOS-based quarterly and annual planning by providing precise financial data for rock-setting and scorecard tracking
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements; coordinate with an external CPA firm as needed
  • Manage sales tax filings, Connecticut and New York State compliance, and telecom regulatory obligations through external agencies
  • Identify financial risk areas and recommend corrective actions
  • Lead, manage, and hold accountable the Finance and Admin team, setting clear expectations and conducting regular 1-on-1s
  • Foster accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration within the department
  • Identify staffing needs, support hiring decisions, and contribute to onboarding and development of team members
  • Partner with the CEO as a key decision maker on financial policies; manage vendor contracts and service agreements to align with strategy and risk tolerance
  • Review, negotiate, and approve financial terms in vendor and service contracts, escalating to the GM as appropriate
  • Establish and maintain documented financial policies to support operational consistency and scalability
  • Review and ensure accuracy of all accounting and financial processes, serving as the final internal checkpoint before leadership reporting
  • Enforce adherence to established policies, procedures, and internal controls across the finance and admin team
  • Conduct periodic process audits to identify gaps, reduce errors, and drive continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with the GM and leadership on financial modeling, pricing analysis, and investment decisions
  • Support commission and compensation plan administration, including gross profit margin calculations
  • Provide financial insight for customer contract analysis, rate structures, and monthly to long-term agreement conversions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
  • 5-8 years of progressive accounting or financial management experience, including direct people management
  • Proven ability to lead and hold accountable a finance or accounting team (Lead, Manage, and Accountable)
  • Experience managing full-cycle accounting in a small-to-mid-size company environment
  • Strong proficiency with QuickBooks; willingness to learn TimelyBill cloud-based billing software
  • Working knowledge of Connecticut and New York state tax regulations and business compliance requirements
  • Experience in service-based, subscription, or SaaS/UCaaS businesses is a plus
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational discipline with ability to meet recurring deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort presenting financial data to non-financial stakeholders
