Trades Recruiting Specialist

Fountain Comfort Group seeks a dedicated Trades Recruiting Specialist to lead end-to-end talent acquisition for its skilled trades divisions in Mission, KS, with a salary range of USD 55,000 to 65,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Source and pipeline: Identify and attract skilled trades professionals, including HVAC technicians, plumbers, electricians, installers, and apprentices, through direct sourcing, trade schools, military transition programs, and industry networks.
• Platform management: Enhance job visibility by posting and managing advertisements on primary platforms, including Indeed and LinkedIn Recruiter.
• Full-cycle recruiting: Oversee the entire hiring process from crafting engaging job descriptions and screening resumes to conducting initial interviews and coordinating offers.
• ATS maintenance: Move candidates smoothly through the Applicant Tracking System (Paylocity or similar), ensuring data integrity and compliance.
• Hiring manager partnership: Collaborate with service managers and regional directors to capture technical needs and assess cultural fit.
• Brand advocacy: Represent Fountain Comfort Group at local job fairs, trade schools, and community events to strengthen the local employer brand.

Requirements

• The Trades Intellect: 2+ years of recruiting experience, with a strong preference for candidates who have recruited in residential or commercial service industries (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or construction).
• The Hunter Mentality: Proactive sourcing beyond incoming applications using LinkedIn, social media, databases, and grassroots networking to uncover hidden talent.
• The Communicator: Excellent interpersonal skills, able to discuss technical specifications with master technicians and convey company culture to executives.
• The Organizer: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple open roles across regions without letting candidates or hiring managers fall through the cracks.
