Job Description

Summit Companies is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to operate onsite in Oklahoma, collaborating closely with department managers to source candidates for both exempt and non-exempt roles while guiding partners through recruitment best practices. The role centers on skilled trades recruiting, building a diverse, multi-skilled pipeline to support field operations and overall company growth. It emphasizes active candidate sourcing, interview coordination, and adherence to evolving labor and hiring regulations.

Compensation

USD 28 - 33 per hour

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; associate's and/or bachelor's degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies targeting skilled trades to meet staffing needs.
  • Manage job posting systems in collaboration with managers, including initial postings and post-review steps.
  • Process job postings and oversee candidate flow after managerial review.
  • Screen, review, and distribute candidate profiles to the appropriate hiring teams.
  • Coordinate interview schedules between interviewers and candidates to streamline the process.
  • Proactively source passive and active candidates via social media marketing, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, phone screening, and ongoing pipeline monitoring.
  • Build a diverse, multi-skilled talent pool to support growth and sustain field operations.
  • Utilize Applicant Tracking Software (ATS) to support recruitment workflows and maintain the candidate database.
  • Communicate effectively with managers and candidates at all stages, including facilitating employment offers and obtaining acceptances.
  • Ensure timely interviewing practices and participate in interviews as needed.
  • Adhere to Talent Acquisition processes set forth by management and recommend improvements for organizational success.
  • Assist with organizing, executing, and communicating pre-employment procedures.
  • Represent the organization at approved career fairs and job fairs as required.
  • Stay informed on local, state, and national rules and regulations governing talent acquisition and labor law.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Two or more years of experience recruiting passive and active candidates in a human resources or staffing agency environment.
  • Two or more years of experience recruiting for skilled trades positions strongly preferred.
  • Strong critical evaluation skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a high-volume environment.
  • Fire protection industry knowledge is a plus.
