Job Description
At AEP Service Corporation in Tulsa, OK, the Talent Acquisition Senior role centers on campus recruiting for craft and technical positions, building a strong presence with technical colleges and universities. You’ll lead end-to-end recruiting within an assigned territory, partnering with hiring managers and HR, screening candidates, and extending offers while shaping campus strategies and engagement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Partners with hiring manager and HR Business Partner to determine staffing needs.
- Screens resumes.
- Interviews candidates (by phone or in person).
- Administers appropriate assessments and reference/background checking.
- Makes recommendations for hire (or not hire) and delivers employment offers for both exempt and nonexempt position openings within an assigned territory.
- Develop and implement strategic campus recruiting plans specific to technical/craft universities.
- Coordinate and participate in campus recruiting events, including career fairs, information sessions, and on-campus interviews.
- Build and maintain partnerships with university career services, faculty, and student organizations in the region.
- Engage with students through presentations, networking events, and social media outreach.
- Review applications, conduct interviews, and evaluate candidates for fit with the company's culture and needs.
- Monitor and analyze recruiting metrics to measure the effectiveness of campus initiatives and adapt strategies as necessary.
- Represent the company at regional campus events, promoting the brand and career opportunities available.
- Serves as an expert for recruiting candidates within an assigned
- Maintains memberships and affiliations with trade/professional organizations related to industry. Takes the lead in the development of one or more annual Affirmative Action Plans.
- Suggest and help implement on-going process improvements to ensure an effective, efficient and compliant recruiting process.
- 35-50% travel required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or High school degree and 4 years of HR experience.
- Two years of corporate experience in recruitment and placement of applicants in professional and management level exempt positions, including one year of knowledge and experience working with electronic applicant systems and internet recruiting sources.
- Five years' corporate experience in campus recruitment and placement of applicants in professional level exempt positions including 3 years of knowledge and experience working with electronic applicant systems and internet recruiting sources.
