Talent Acquisition Recruiter
Job Description
System One seeks a Talent Acquisition Recruiter for a six-month, onsite contract in Houston, TX, paying USD 25 - 35 per hour, with potential for hire.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day administrative, operations, and staffing tasks for the employment office.
- Assist the recruiting team by proactively sourcing candidates and building professional relationships.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition recruiters to design strategies addressing current and upcoming staffing needs.
- Evaluate applications, work history, and employee status ratings.
- Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, including background checks, drug screens, I-9, and E-Verify compliance.
- Monitor and report staffing plan data as required.
- Handle administrative duties such as data entry, answering phones, and filing.
- Create detailed job descriptions, screening questions, and position-specific tools.
- Source candidates from internal and external pools, screen for qualifications, and maintain pools by department and region.
- Assist hiring managers with offers of employment and coordinate onboarding schedules.
- Update the Applicant Tracking System with real-time candidate interactions.
- Represent the organization at job fairs and industry events to attract candidates.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, with an emphasis on sourcing efforts.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong multitasking capability and ability to meet deadlines under time constraints.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- High school diploma or equivalent plus 3+ years of customer service or HR administrative experience.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
- Knowledge of employment laws and compliance requirements.
- Experience in administration, customer service, and HR.
- Experience in industrial construction and nuclear industries.
- Physical ability to work in a general office environment with occasional industrial site tasks, including standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
