Job Description
At McLane Company, Inc., the Talent Acquisition Partner plays a key role in supporting business growth by identifying, attracting, and engaging high-quality candidates. This onsite position in Tualatin, OR focuses on building recruiting strategies, managing requisitions, maintaining compliant hiring practices, and reporting on recruiting performance through measurable metrics.
What you’ll do
- Develop and implement recruiting strategies aligned to talent needs within your assigned area.
- Proactively source candidates and maintain applicant pipelines using community partnerships, schools, networking, job boards, and social media.
- Coordinate recruiting marketing activities with hiring leaders and marketing teams.
- Use recruiting tools and technology to improve both efficiency and the candidate experience.
- Create requisitions and manage hiring activities in the applicant tracking system, using input from hiring managers.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, including OFCCP and EEOC.
- Network through phone, social media, and other channels to support candidate flow for current and future hiring needs.
- Source, prescreen, and assess candidates through résumé review and interviews conducted virtually, by phone, and in person.
- Share the company value proposition, job responsibilities, compensation, benefits, and advancement opportunities with candidates.
- Partner with hiring managers to evaluate candidate fit for behavioral and technical competencies.
- Provide hiring managers with updates on candidate status, hiring progress, timelines, and any challenges.
- Coordinate interview logistics and candidate engagement throughout the process.
- Track and report recruitment metrics weekly.
- Maintain ongoing professional development to stay current with recruiting best practices and industry trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- At least 2 years of high-volume recruiting in warehouse/logistics settings.
- Proven ability to build candidate pipelines through direct sourcing, networking, and social media.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for sharing complex or new information.
- A friendly, effective communication style with hiring managers, candidates, and colleagues.
- Ability to deliver a world-class candidate experience.
- Understanding of business needs and the ability to communicate them.
- Knowledge of hiring-related legislation including Title VII, PDA, ADEA, ADA, GINA, IRCA, FCRA, and OFCCP.
- Preferred: Experience recruiting distribution center teammates and CDL-A drivers; consulting with hiring managers; using HRIS and ATS software; running job fairs; applying situational/behavioral interviewing.
