Job Description

Fortrex seeks a Talent Acquisition Hiring Coordinator to lead end-to-end hiring initiatives for the assigned Kansas location. This onsite, contract role focuses on talent strategy, candidate engagement, and regulatory compliance to connect community members with meaningful career opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an organized and welcoming hiring area to create a positive first impression for new and current team members.
  • Coordinate and execute full lifecycle hiring for the assigned location, including reviewing applications, sourcing, screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
  • Promptly complete new hire paperwork and verify accuracy, including Form I-9 and documentation of age, identity, and eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Ensure consistent application of policies, procedures, recruiting, hiring, and onboarding activities in daily operations.
  • Conduct professional interviews using varied techniques to assess candidate fit for the role.
  • Extend compliant and welcoming job offers to suitable candidates.
  • Educate new hires on company policies and procedures.
  • Lead local compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Provide support and guidance to plant leadership regarding staffing, hiring, and HR compliance needs.
  • Assist with offboarding and cross-boarding activities for team members as needed.
  • Prepare and communicate status updates for weekly meetings with the HR Recruiting Supervisor and Operations Partners; provide additional updates as required.
  • Assist with distribution and implementation of company changes.
  • Maintain various reports for leadership review.
  • Develop and maintain a network of community partnerships to boost brand awareness and source candidates.
  • Review hiring metrics, audit practices, and apply staffing best practices for continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the hiring process (recruiter, sourcer, HR, hiring manager, etc.).
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Valid and active US driver's license.
  • Ability to travel with own transportation within the assigned territory.
