Job Description
Shield AI is seeking a Senior Recruiter to drive talent acquisition across the Asia-Pacific region from its Melbourne, Florida site on an onsite, contract basis. This role collaborates with senior leaders to shape hiring strategy for international expansion and to scale teams across diverse APJ markets, focusing on engineering and go-to-market disciplines and ensuring alignment with Shield AI’s global hiring standards.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for priority APJ roles, including senior, niche, and hard-to-hire positions.
- Design and execute regional sourcing strategies to attract top engineering and go-to-market talent.
- Tailor hiring approaches to local market realities while upholding Shield AI’s global hiring bar.
- Act as an APJ ambassador for Shield AI’s employer brand, promoting the company as a leading employer across the region.
- Utilize data to forecast hiring needs, monitor pipelines, and optimize recruitment performance at scale.
- Partner for impact: Collaborate with the APJ and EMEA Talent Acquisition teams, global sourcing, and talent coordination teams, with support from the Px Function.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience driving full-cycle hiring for engineers and go-to-market teams in a high-growth tech environment; aerospace, defense, robotics, or deep-tech experience is preferred.
- Proven success supporting new market entries and scaling teams across multiple APJ countries.
- Deep understanding of APJ talent landscapes, including sourcing strategies, cultural considerations, and competitive nuances.
- Consultative, commercially minded, and comfortable operating with ambiguity and evolving business needs.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence leaders across regions.
- Highly organized, data-driven, and capable of autonomous work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
