Job Description

Magnolia Wealth Strategies is hiring a Sales Recruiter for Financial Advisor Talent Acquisition to support growth in a defined market from the Pensacola area. This role focuses on building a steady pipeline of prospective Financial Advisors through high-touch outreach and relationship development, operating more like business development than traditional recruiting.

You will prospect actively, run discovery conversations, and guide candidates through clear next steps while maintaining accurate pipeline reporting in the company’s systems.

Role overview

  • Build and manage a consistent pipeline of prospective Financial Advisors within an assigned market.
  • Prospect using direct outreach and multiple channels, including databases, referrals, social media, job boards, networking, events, and community relationships.
  • Conduct personalized outbound outreach to prospective candidates rather than relying primarily on inbound applicants.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects and create ongoing candidate conversations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and nurture relationships with centers of influence, community partners, educational institutions, professionals, Advisors, and employees to drive referrals.
  • Lead discovery conversations to understand career goals, motivations, experience, business development potential, coachability, resilience, and fit.
  • Follow up consistently and cultivate candidates who may not be ready to make an immediate career move.
  • Manage candidates through the recruiting pipeline with clear next steps and follow-up commitments.
  • Track prospecting activity, candidate stages, sources, follow-up dates, and pipeline results in the Agency Tracking System (ATS).
  • Use pipeline and conversion data to identify which sourcing strategies produce the strongest candidates and adjust activity accordingly.
  • Partner with Branch Leaders, Advisors, Marketing, training leaders, licensing and onboarding teams, and Home Office recruiting resources.
  • Represent Magnolia professionally in the market by communicating the opportunity, culture, development resources, and entrepreneurial career path.
  • Ensure communication stays timely, discovery is thoughtful, and next steps are clear.
  • Use results and market feedback to continuously improve sourcing and outreach strategy.
  • Build a strong understanding of Magnolia’s business, the Financial Advisor career, and the characteristics associated with successful Advisors.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in recruiting, sales, business development, talent sourcing, or another relationship-driven role.
  • Required: experience recruiting for commission-based sales professionals or personally working in a commission-based sales role.
  • Proven ability to prospect, conduct outbound outreach, generate conversations, and develop relationships.
  • Comfort working in a goal-oriented environment where activity and pipeline results are measured.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Ability to ask thoughtful questions and assess alignment with someone’s goals.
  • Persistence and discipline with follow-up, including prospects not ready to move immediately.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple candidates and opportunities at once.
  • Experience using a CRM, ATS, or other pipeline-management technology.
  • Ability to use activity and conversion data to improve results.
  • Experience in financial services, insurance, wealth management, professional services, or another entrepreneurial sales environment is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned market and occasionally accommodate events or candidate schedules outside standard business hours.
