Recruitment Officer – Talent Acquisition
Job Description
Steel and Pipes, Inc. invites you to join as a Recruitment Officer - Talent Acquisition in Caguas, Puerto Rico. This on-site role focuses on managing full-cycle recruitment from staffing needs to onboarding, coordinating hiring activities, and maintaining clear communication with candidates and hiring managers to ensure a professional and efficient experience. The position includes a 401(k) plan and health insurance to support your long-term goals.
Responsibilities
- Design and oversee end-to-end recruitment and selection workflows to deliver a consistent, efficient, high-quality candidate experience from sourcing through onboarding.
- Create and implement sourcing strategies to reach active and passive candidates via referrals, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other digital channels.
- Advertise job openings across employment platforms, social media, and recruitment events such as job fairs.
- Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
- Perform initial phone screenings and assist with candidate evaluations.
- Coordinate interview schedules between candidates and hiring managers.
- Document recruitment and selection activities for audit and compliance purposes.
- Keep candidate records, databases, and applicant tracking systems up to date with ongoing status updates.
- Generate recruitment and HR metrics, including time-to-fill, quality of hire, and source effectiveness to improve efficiency.
- Oversee onboarding and orientation for new employees.
- Create and maintain updated job descriptions.
- Protect confidential employee information and records.
- Collaborate on retention, training, and organizational development initiatives.
- Keep recruitment guidelines current with regulatory changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in recruitment and talent acquisition.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment processes and Puerto Rico labor laws, including equal employment opportunity, discrimination, and hiring policies.
- Experience managing compliance-focused processes, including ATS systems and digital recruitment tools such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and other platforms.
- Ability to develop innovative recruitment strategies and strengthen employer branding.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis and metrics tracking.
- Ability to handle confidential information and work collaboratively in dynamic environments.
- Fully bilingual in Spanish and English, both verbal and written.
