Recruiter
Job Description
The Recruiter will manage full-cycle recruiting, build proactive talent pipelines, and partner with leadership to attract and hire top talent while promoting Dunn Lumber Company's employer brand. This on-site role is based in Seattle, WA, with an hourly compensation range of $29 to $31.
Responsibilities
- Craft and execute recruiting strategies that attract high-quality candidates who reflect Dunn Lumber's values, culture, and mission.
- Develop and sustain proactive talent pipelines for both core roles and leadership positions.
- Identify and engage passive candidates through networking, sourcing platforms, industry events, referrals, and community partnerships.
- Assess candidate qualifications, potential, and cultural fit quickly to support long-term organizational success.
- Manage full cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
- Maintain regular communication with executive leadership, department leaders, and hiring managers to understand current and future staffing needs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Dunn Lumber’s benefits package and offerings.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to strengthen the company’s employer brand and recruiting presence.
- Develop creative recruiting campaigns that highlight career opportunities, company culture, employee success stories, and growth potential.
- Represent Dunn Lumber at job fairs, community events, industry associations, schools, and workforce development programs.
- Track, analyze, and report on recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, quality-of-hire, retention, sourcing effectiveness, labor market trends, and hiring manager satisfaction.
- Stay informed on employment law, labor market conditions, and industry best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have a vehicle to commute to all Dunn Lumber locations.
- Proficient with computers, including Excel, Microsoft Suite, and SharePoint.
- Experience with recruiting platforms, HRIS systems, and applicant tracking systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication skills.
- Previous experience in talent management and HR functions is preferred.
- Strong ability to identify high-quality talent and assess organizational fit.
- Sales-minded approach with the ability to effectively promote career opportunities and company culture.
- Robust networking and sourcing capabilities.
- Strategic thinker capable of developing creative solutions to recruiting challenges.
- Passion for helping people succeed and supporting organizational growth.
- Recruiting experience of 1 year or more is preferred.
- Ability to commute to Seattle, WA 98105 (preferred).
