Job Description

A dynamic Recruiter will join Markel Corporation's State National Talent Acquisition team in Bedford, Texas, to drive a full lifecycle recruiting strategy for non-exempt roles and support current and future staffing needs. This onsite position offers a yearly salary range of USD 62,400 to 85,000 and will focus on attracting top talent aligned with State National's brand and values.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee a recruitment strategy for all non-exempt roles within State National, including corporate and business functions, with a focus on building a strong talent pipeline to meet current and future staffing needs.
  • Lead full life-cycle recruitment of non-exempt hires, including sourcing, screening, assessment, and presenting candidate submissions.
  • Manage the interview process from scheduling through decision.
  • Negotiate offers on behalf of Markel.
  • Administer assessments to selected candidates.
  • Provide regular updates and needs alignment to hiring teams and HR business partners.
  • Leverage the company EVP to implement marketing strategies aligned with State National's brand, vision, and core values to attract diverse, top-tier talent.
  • Employ networking techniques to build pipelines targeting top talent.
  • Utilize Workday Recruiter to pipeline and hire top talent.
  • Leverage social media channels to source and engage candidates.
  • Post roles on job boards to attract applicants.
  • Encourage and utilize employee referrals to fill positions.
  • Apply search engine optimization to extend reach and improve sourcing results.
  • Use LinkedIn recruiting tools to identify and recruit candidates.
  • Represent State National as an employer of choice at local career fairs and college campuses.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of recruiting, sourcing, or high-volume sales experience; a background in non-exempt/hourly or call center operations recruiting is highly desirable.
  • Ability to conduct all aspects of talent search, including leveraging AI tools, internet search optimization, innovative sourcing programs, networking, pre-screening, offer negotiations, and candidate relationship management.
  • Proficiency with diverse sourcing techniques, tools, and platforms, including AI, Boolean search, market research, LinkedIn Recruiter, and social media.
  • Exceptional client service and candidate relationship management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, with Workday experience preferred.
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
