Job Description
This role supports Lindenmeyr Munroe's transportation and distribution operations in Westchester County by recruiting DOT-regulated drivers and warehouse personnel.
Responsibilities
- Lead full‑cycle recruitment for DOT‑certified drivers (CDL and non‑CDL) and warehouse staff, covering sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Verify DOT compliance requirements such as MVR checks, drug/alcohol testing, medical cards, employment verifications, and safety history.
- Cultivate and sustain robust candidate pipelines via job boards, social media, referrals, community outreach, and industry networks.
- Collaborate with operations, safety, and HR to forecast staffing needs and support workforce planning.
- Implement structured interviews to evaluate experience, safety mindset, reliability, and cultural alignment.
- Coordinate pre‑employment steps including background checks, medical physicals, and orientation scheduling.
- Maintain recruitment metrics and keep candidate records current in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Support retention by monitoring new‑hire performance and addressing initial concerns.
- Represent Lindenmeyr Munroe at job fairs, hiring events, and community workforce programs.
- Ensure hiring practices comply with federal, state, and DOT regulatory standards.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of recruiting experience, with at least 1 year focused on DOT driver and/or warehouse hiring.
- Solid understanding of FMCSA/DOT regulations, driver qualification files, and safety compliance.
- Experience recruiting CDL‑A, CDL‑B, non‑CDL drivers, warehouse associates, forklift operators, and related roles.
- Ability to manage high‑volume requisitions in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency with ATS platforms and sourcing tools (Indeed, LinkedIn, Tenstreet, etc.).
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
