Job Description

Christus Health offers the opportunity to lead full-cycle recruitment for physicians and advanced practice providers across Southern New Mexico, with up to 40% travel and close collaboration with residency programs, medical staff offices, and community partners. This hybrid role centers on building strong pipelines, delivering a positive candidate experience, and partnering with leadership to staff high-impact clinical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for physicians and advanced practice providers across Southern New Mexico facilities and clinics.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to attract top clinical talent, including direct outreach, networking, and attending recruitment events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with residency and fellowship programs, medical staff leaders, and community partners.
  • Conduct candidate screens.
  • Coordinate interviews.
  • Manage travel logistics.
  • Maintain an exceptional candidate experience.
  • Collaborate with operational and clinical leadership to understand workforce needs and define candidate profiles.
  • Track recruitment metrics.
  • Document activity.
  • Ensure accurate reporting within applicant tracking systems.
  • Represent the organization at recruitment conferences, job fairs, residency events, and community engagement functions.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare, or related field.
  • Must live in Alamogordo, NM or surrounding area.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 40%.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Physician recruitment or physician liaison experience.
  • Experience recruiting clinical roles in healthcare systems, medical groups, or hospital settings.
  • Knowledge of medical staff processes, credentialing, and provider onboarding.

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid of local travel, regional travel, on-site meetings, and remote administrative work.
  • Must be able to travel independently across Southern New Mexico as needed.
