Job Description
Based in Fort Lauderdale, The VetTemps Inc invites a Locums Recruiter Veterinarian Staffing to join onsite and lead the placement of veterinarians for temporary assignments across the country. This role centers on building relationships with veterinary practices nationwide while operating under a tiered commission structure and a CRM-driven workflow that supports consistent placement success.
Responsibilities
- Outbound prospecting: 80 to 100+ calls daily to veterinarians and practice managers, complemented by targeted email and LinkedIn outreach
- Candidate recruitment: develop a robust pipeline of credentialed vets seeking temporary assignments
- Client development: identify and cultivate new veterinary practice and emergency clinic relationships nationwide
- Placement management: shepherd candidates and clients from initial contact through placement, ensuring a high-quality experience on both sides
- Market expertise: serve as a trusted regional advisor, staying ahead of demand trends and specialty needs
- CRM discipline: keep Zoho CRM updated daily to maintain visibility of the pipeline and ensure timely follow-ups
- Goal ownership: achieve monthly and quarterly targets with a drive to exceed them
Requirements
- Drive: relentless work ethic
- Stamina: ability to handle a high-volume call day while staying sharp
- Communication: strong listening and clear explanation skills that build rapport over the phone
- Organization: adept at prioritizing tasks and following through
- Resilience: able to handle rejection and rebound quickly on subsequent calls
- Experience: sales experience preferred; healthcare, staffing, or recruiting backgrounds are strong fits
- Industry: veterinary or medical knowledge is a bonus but not required

Compensation outlook
- Year 1: 60,000 – 80,000 USD total with base plus commission as you build your book
- Year 2: 90,000 – 130,000 USD; top performers can exceed 100K
- Year 3 and beyond: 150,000+ USD; earnings potential scales with effort
- Commission is earned as a tiered percentage of net profit generated; higher production increases your rate, with milestone bonuses at performance thresholds
- Saturday availability is optional and yields additional commission on top of weekly production
