Contract Technical Recruiter
Job Description
What you get This six-month contract offers a hybrid work setup in North Bethesda, MD with onsite presence three days per week. You will own full-cycle technical recruiting across Technology, Engineering, Product, and Data, partnering closely with hiring managers and HR to source, interview, and extend offers. The role comes with a competitive annualized compensation range of USD 6,250 to 75,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle for technical roles, from initial sourcing to offer presentation
- Develop and execute inventive sourcing strategies using job boards, social networks, networking, and direct outreach
- Lead in-depth interviews to evaluate candidates’ technical capabilities, experience, and cultural fit
- Apply assessment tools and techniques to gauge qualifications
- Build and sustain strong candidate relationships to ensure a positive experience
- Provide clear and timely communication throughout the recruitment process
- Collaborate with hiring managers and department heads to understand talent needs and offer strategic guidance
- Design and implement recruitment plans tailored to specific technical roles and teams
- Stay informed about market trends and business priorities to grow technical talent networks
- Identify process improvements and contribute to the broader talent acquisition strategy
- Deliver regular reports and insights to leadership to support data-driven decisions
- Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues to strengthen the recruitment team
- Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience in corporate or agency environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- Proven track record managing requisitions across multiple technical disciplines including Technology, Engineering, Product, and Data
- Demonstrated ability to proactively partner with hiring managers to drive the recruitment process
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (Greenhouse preferred), LinkedIn Recruiter, and other social recruiting tools
- Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous recruitment projects effectively
- Experience using job boards, targeted sourcing, and other approaches to identify candidates
- Knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and government regulations impacting recruitment
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with candidates and stakeholders
- Proficiency with Google Apps and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work onsite three days a week in the office
