Join HII's Newport News Shipbuilding team as a Veteran Recruiter Talent Acquisition Rep 4. This onsite role centers on recruiting former and transitioning service members, coordinating with military installations and veteran organizations, and guiding candidates through the pre-employment process. The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 107,000 - 134,000 per year, onsite in Newport News, VA, and meaningful opportunities to advance veteran career pathways and support workforce excellence.

Responsibilities
- Recruit prospective employees with a focus on former and transitioning service members
- Serve as a central point of contact and liaison with military installations and veteran support organizations
- Collaborate with veteran agencies and represent NNS at veteran events and career fairs
- Plan to positively impact the workforce by building connections with candidates and stakeholders to meet goals and drive outcomes
- Conduct interviews to recruit prospective employees and refer applicants to specific job openings
- Evaluate factors such as experience, education and training, skills, knowledge, abilities, and other data relevant to classification, selection, and referral
- Prepare ratings on applicants, make starting salary recommendations, and provide applicants with information about the company
- May administer tests, check references, arrange transportation for selected applicants, extend formal job offers, and coordinate with outside agencies and vendors
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant exempt experience
- Master’s Degree and 8 years of relevant professional experience
- NNS Apprentice School graduate
- Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
- Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program with 2 years of relevant exempt experience, or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
- Military Paygrade E-5 or above, or equivalent military experience
- High School/GED with 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
- High School/GED with 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
Must Have
