Job Description

Join Amazon University Talent Acquisition AUTA Science in Seattle, WA onsite, where you will lead the recruitment of student scientists at scale. About the Team

AUTA Science - AMER is Amazon University Talent Acquisition's delivery team focused on sourcing and hiring for Applied, Research, and Data Science roles across internships, postdocs, and campus full-time positions at scale. The group previously operated as the Graduate Research Team (GRT) since 2012 to enable innovation by bringing domain experts into applied, research, and data science roles.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business and recruiting teams across Amazon to understand student hiring needs
  • Develop innovative strategies to attract, source, assess, and hire students for niche roles across Amazon
  • Identify opportunities to improve candidate experience and scheduling efficiency
  • Manage and track all candidate and campus information, consolidate results, analyze data, and recommend improvements
  • Develop recruitment strategies that contribute to Amazon's long-term growth, implement new processes, and create standard operating procedures aligned with the customer-focused mission
  • Collaborate with full lifecycle recruiters, industry hiring teams, and other stakeholders to build an early career talent strategy
  • Manage customer expectations and business goals with bi weekly reviews, providing metrics and status updates to stakeholders
  • Develop recruiting plans with deliverables, timelines, and scalable tracking processes
  • Participate in special projects and recruiting initiatives such as pilots and process improvements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 7+ years of recruiting experience with a focus on engineering, technical operations, and product management
  • Experience and knowledge relating to candidates connected to top scientific publications from conferences
  • Deep domain expertise across a breadth of scientific disciplines, including LLMs, computer vision, natural language processing, augmented reality, and quantum
