Senior Recruiter, Talent Acquisition - R&D
Job Description
AbbVie is seeking a Senior Recruiter in Talent Acquisition for R&D to attract top talent, manage open requisitions, and partner with hiring managers across AbbVie’s R&D teams.
Responsibilities
- Recruitment activities aligned to a designated team or function, with flexibility to cover other areas as assigned.
- Build and maintain a strong, qualified candidate pool for current and future openings.
- Conduct pre screening, manage projects, collaborate with team members to shape sourcing strategies, and deliver talent for open roles.
- Proactively identify and cultivate talent pools aligned to business priorities.
- Oversee open job requisitions in SmartRecruiters, monitor recruiting metrics, and report key results; share knowledge base, industry insights, and market trends with the team and leadership.
- Prepare and present offer packages, including equity and market competitiveness data research.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws and AbbVie policies for applicant tracking and reporting metrics.
- Establish a true business partnership with hiring managers and leadership on all staffing activities and issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- 3-5+ years of recruitment experience in a competitive, fast-paced environment; 7+ years of recruiting experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated business presence with the ability to instill confidence in clients and deliver results.
- Proactive recruiting and sourcing experience is required.
- Healthcare or pharmaceutical industry recruitment experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience managing requisitions within SmartRecruiters is preferred.

Compensation and Location
- Salary range: USD 84,500 - 162,000 per year
- Location: North Chicago, IL onsite
