Senior Recruiter - IT

Intuitive Surgical is seeking a Contract Senior Recruiter - IT to support end-to-end hiring for current and upcoming needs within one or more business units. This onsite role in Sunnyvale, CA partners closely with hiring managers and stakeholders to plan recruiting initiatives, improve candidate flow, and serve as a strategic talent advisor and advocate.

What you will do

• Consult with Hiring Managers to understand current and future needs, position profiles, and market availability
• Build strong relationships with hiring managers to support a smooth recruiting process and advise on staffing best practices, trends, issues, and challenges
• Partner with client groups and support teams to identify needs, design recruitment strategies, and execute all hiring phases, including coordination of closing conversations and application documentation
• Initiate recruiting process improvement opportunities and execute or lead projects to implement enhancements
• Use available data resources to develop compelling narratives, influence decisions, and support change initiatives
• Present at meetings and trainings to help leaders improve interviewing and hiring skills
• Probe to understand key requirements and develop creative sourcing strategies using market data to support strong candidate flow
• Develop and implement applicant sources through networking, internet sourcing, employee referrals, job fairs, trade fairs, associations, recruitment marketing, and other available channels
• Identify and engage passive job seekers using a range of recruitment tactics, resources, and outreach approaches
• Make operational and strategic recruitment decisions to keep efforts aligned with organizational goals
• Drive timely execution of sourcing and screening
• Manage the candidate process and act as a candidate advocate
• Propose and implement ongoing improvements to Intuitive’s recruitment efforts

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of recruiting experience
• Demonstrated experience with full lifecycle recruiting
• Judgment in selecting recruiting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to achieve results
• Proactive approach to supporting the shared purpose and goals of the Staffing team
• Proven track record of high volume, high quality recruiting across multiple skill sets
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook)
• ERP, Talent Management, or Applicant Tracking System experience preferred
• Self-motivated, action and results oriented, with ability to multi-task and manage multiple requisitions and/or projects simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lead and influence others positively
• Strong client service orientation and commitment to high internal customer service
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and address difficult situations
• Confidence and discretion in managing confidential information
• Track record of building and maintaining strong relationships
• Experience working with diverse personalities and multiple levels of employees

• Ability to take initiative and make recommendations or decisions as appropriate
