Senior Recruiter
Job Description
As a Senior Recruiter, you will support full-cycle hiring for a multi-state organization, covering corporate, operations, leadership, and high-volume frontline roles. This contract or contract-to-hire position is hybrid/remote, based in Portland, OR.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end recruiting across corporate, professional, operations, management, leadership, and store-level positions.
- Lead high-volume hiring for technicians, mechanics, service advisors, and other field roles across multiple states.
- Collaborate with hiring managers and field leadership to understand staffing needs, define target candidate profiles, and establish recruiting strategies.
- Build and maintain candidate pipelines using job boards, sourcing, networking, direct outreach, referrals, and other recruiting channels.
- Conduct candidate outreach, phone screens, interviews, and assessments while maintaining a professional candidate experience.
- Manage candidates through each stage of the process and ensure accurate, current records in the applicant tracking system.
- Coordinate interviews and keep candidates and hiring teams updated throughout the hiring cycle.
- Act as a recruiting partner and resource for hiring managers, offering guidance on interviewing, candidate selection, and consistent recruiting practices.
- Create sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill roles, with a focus on technician and skilled-trade positions.
- Track recruiting activity and metrics, identify stalled searches or emerging challenges, and adjust approaches as needed.
- Prepare, extend, and negotiate offers in partnership with hiring managers and HR, guiding candidates through acceptance and onboarding transition.
- Represent the Gill’s Point S brand throughout the candidate experience by maintaining relationships across levels of the organization.
- Support recruiting initiatives, process improvements, and other HR projects as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience across a variety of positions and levels.
- Experience handling both high-volume hourly recruiting and professional or management-level searches.
- Proven success recruiting in a multi-location, fast-paced environment.
- Strong sourcing skills, including the ability to identify and engage candidates in competitive or hard-to-fill markets.
- Experience using an applicant tracking system; Paylocity experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with candidates, hiring managers, field leaders, and HR.
- Excellent organization and time management, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and recruiting pipelines.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of assignments, and keep recruiting efforts moving with minimal oversight.
- Solid understanding of compliant and consistent recruiting and interviewing practices.
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Automotive, tire, dealership, retail, skilled-trade, or multi-location recruiting experience.
- Familiarity with automotive technician and mechanic roles, including ASE certifications and flat-rate/flag-hour compensation.
- Experience recruiting Service Advisors, Service Center Managers, District Managers, or other automotive leadership positions.
- Experience with contract or contract-to-hire recruiting.
