Job Description
Gensler seeks a Regional Talent Acquisition Manager in San Francisco to lead regional talent strategy and full lifecycle recruiting for the Northwest Region across multiple offices.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Regional Senior Leadership and HR to define and steer the Northwest Region talent acquisition strategy.
- Manage the full lifecycle recruitment process from market research and sourcing to offer and acceptance for candidates from emerging talent to executive leadership levels.
- Conduct direct searches and cultivate a strong network of senior-level talent pools.
- Oversee search firm contracts to align with firmwide standards and strengthen external branding for critical hires.
- Perform local talent mapping, analyze industry talent trends, and implement targeted selection to support strategic hiring needs; explore approaches to engaging passive candidates.
- Partner with the HR Director and Marketing/PR to communicate the employer value proposition in each market.
- Mentor and develop the Talent Acquisition team, guiding growth and skills development.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and proactive talent sourcing within the team.
- Standardize recruitment processes regionwide to improve internal efficiency while delivering an optimal candidate experience.
- Ensure compliance with recruitment policies, secure necessary approvals, and maximize internal talent usage where possible.
- Lead or supervise talent acquisition projects and initiatives.
- Engage with the firm’s Talent Acquisition community and contribute to its activities.
- Track recruitment metrics to evaluate hiring success and sources of hires.
- Collaborate with the Talent Development Manager to co-create and co-facilitate TA learning activities.
- Provide market insights and strategic recruitment solutions in response to changing business trends.
- Benchmark TA practices against industry peers to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Develop and nurture a pipeline of targeted prospects through ongoing candidate relationships as a trusted advisor.
- Communicate regularly with Regional Managing Principals, Office Directors, and Hiring Managers in a clear, concise manner.
- Oversee data management of the applicant process to ensure accurate records and reporting.
- Represent Gensler as a brand ambassador in internal and external contexts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and at least 12 years of experience in agency and/or corporate talent acquisition.
- Experience recruiting for a creative firm such as architecture, interior design, branding agency, or in professional services/consulting.
- Expertise with executive search and high-volume staffing.
- Professional services demeanor with proven ability to organize and execute priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced interview and selection capabilities.
- Experience with market mapping and targeted talent searches.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Experience using an ATS; Workday experience preferred.
- Team player with demonstrated collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of recruitment best practices, particularly regarding candidate experience and employer branding.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and interruptions.
- Familiarity with EEO reporting and auditing.
- Familiar with visa processes and PERM a plus.
- Proficient in current and emerging recruiting technologies.
