Job Description

This is an early career role in recruiting and HR coordination within a hospitality setting, emphasizing onboarding, documentation, and compliance under direct mentorship. The position is on-site in Miami, Florida.

Responsibilities

  • Publish vacancies, actively source candidates, and establish repeatable pipelines for hospitality operations roles such as front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and other property support positions.
  • Manage daily candidate flow by reviewing applications, conducting initial screenings, keeping applicants engaged, and advancing them through subsequent steps promptly.
  • Develop and sustain sourcing channels including job boards, referrals, community partners, local schools or programs, and hiring events to minimize start-from-zero hiring.
  • Coordinate interview logistics, schedules, offer letters, and start dates to ensure timely onboarding.
  • Support HR operations including preboarding and onboarding tasks such as coordinating background checks, collecting documents, processing I-9 documentation, and scheduling orientations.
  • Maintain accurate candidate and new-hire data in an Excel-based tracking system and generate simple weekly visibility reports on pipeline status.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of experience in HR coordination, recruiting coordination, talent acquisition support, onboarding coordination, or a related HR function.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a track record of keeping statuses, notes, and handoffs up to date.
  • Comfort with outreach to candidates, including messaging or calling, tracking responses, and maintaining momentum.
  • Basic familiarity with HR compliance-sensitive work such as confidentiality, consistent documentation, I-9 processing, or similar onboarding procedures.
  • Comfort using Excel or Google Sheets and AI tools, or willingness to learn, to build and maintain trackers and reports.
  • Ability to work in-person in Miami, FL 33137.

The Role

We are hiring a Recruiting and HR Coordinator to help run and scale our hiring engine. This hands-on, early-career position offers the opportunity to own HR coordination from day one, including onboarding, documentation, and compliance, while building recruiting fundamentals under direct mentorship in a lean hospitality environment. There is also potential to shape HR operations as the company's hotel portfolio grows.

What Success Looks Like (First 60–90 Days)

  • You can independently manage the daily recruiting cadence, including applicant review, outreach, scheduling, and follow-up, with no candidates slipping through the cracks.
  • Candidate trackers remain current and reliable, providing clear weekly hiring visibility for ownership.
  • You help establish consistent sourcing channels such as referrals, community partners, and repeatable outreach routines to reduce last-minute scrambling.
  • Candidate experience improves with faster response times, clearer next steps, and fewer no-shows due to better selection and communication.
  • Onboarding documentation stays current and compliant, with I-9s, background checks, and new-hire files completed accurately and on time without chasing.
