Job Description
The Recruiter I supports Christus Health by managing recruitment activities for professional, non-nursing positions. This role recruits, screens, and interviews applicants to help ensure qualified candidates are available while supporting hiring practices that comply with federal, state, and local requirements.

Location: Santa Fe, NM (onsite)
Work Schedule: 8AM - 5PM, Monday-Friday

Summary of the Role
The Recruiter I is responsible for recruiting, screening, and interviewing applicants for professional, non-nursing positions. The position helps maintain an appropriate pipeline of qualified applicants and supports compliance with applicable hiring laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain strong rapport and communication with hiring supervisors (directors, managers, coordinators, or leads) by providing individualized attention aligned to specific process needs.
- Develop, implement, improve, maintain, and adapt an effective recruitment program to ensure an adequate pool of qualified applicants, using marketing methods (mailers, brochures, publications, advertisements) and recruitment strategies (bonuses, relocation, scholarship) that account for changes in the job market and budget restrictions.
- Coordinate hiring activities, including prescreening candidates using TS practices, pre-assessing candidates with available assessment tools, scheduling interviews through TS processes, and proposing special incentives (such as relocation or sign-on) when appropriate.
- Work with external recruiters when needed to source hard-to-fill positions.
- Administer Targeted Selection (TS), ensuring hiring managers are trained on TS interviewing techniques, interview guides, and data integration to support selection of new Associates.
- Conduct TS Interviewer training and occasionally serve as a TS interviewer.
- Serve as Administrator of HR Logix, maintaining personnel requisitions, job openings, and applicant information for assigned positions in HR Logix.
- Ensure assigned requisitions are completed correctly for the weekly staffing council meeting and support preparation and distribution of the staffing council spreadsheet with the Recruiter.
- Maintain and develop relationships with community and schools by representing CSM positively, attending career fairs and other activities, and providing assistance at community or school events.
- Provide weekly reporting on recruitment activities when requested, including number of hires and position openings.
- Assist other Recruitment Team members as needed, including coverage during absences or support for other positions.
- Serve as a back-up to the general orientation facilitator.
- Perform all duties in a way that protects the confidentiality of applicants, candidates, and Associates, including not soliciting or disclosing confidential information except when required to perform assigned job duties.
- Complete other assigned duties as directed by the department manager or director, temporarily or permanently.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Ability to manage a full desk and requisition load
- High degree of organization and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information
- 1-year experience in high-volume recruiting preferred
- Previous HR experience preferred
