Job Description

This high-volume Recruiter role at Southwest Electrical Contracting Services, Ltd. is based onsite in Converse, Texas, supporting recruitment for field and corporate positions within a high-growth electrical contracting environment. The recruiter will partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and implement effective sourcing and selection strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Meet staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating candidates, advising managers, and overseeing relocations and the internship program.
  • Determine hiring requirements by examining organizational plans and consulting with managers to identify needs.
  • Build applicant pipelines by researching and reaching out to community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and online platforms; sharing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; delivering presentations; and maintaining rapport.
  • Identify candidate requirements by analyzing job descriptions and qualification criteria.
  • Attract applicants through job advertisements, recruiter outreach, and use of online groups and job sites.
  • Assess applicants by interviewing, analyzing responses, verifying references, and comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Coordinate management interviews by arranging schedules.
  • Develop and execute a Recruitment Marketing and Employer Branding strategy to attract high quality applicants.
  • Evaluate candidates by aligning job requirements with applicant qualifications in collaboration with managers, and conducting interviews against a consistent set of criteria.
  • Enhance organizational attractiveness by proposing new policies and practices, monitoring offers and compensation practices, and highlighting benefits and perks.
  • Keep job knowledge current through ongoing education, professional publications, networking, and participation in professional organizations.
  • Prepare a weekly report detailing tasks completed and in progress.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in recruitment, including management of multiple high-volume openings.
  • Electrical construction or Building Automation Systems (BAS) experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with employee evaluation processes and tools is essential.
  • Strong relationship-management abilities for effective communication with candidates and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to conduct cold outreach and engage potential candidates in meaningful conversations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Minimum 1 year of recruiting experience.

Compensation

Salary: USD 65,000 to 75,000 per year
