Recruiter

Join Carvana as a Recruiter on the Operations Talent team to manage full-cycle recruitment for our on-site Operations groups in Tempe, AZ. This role emphasizes sourcing skilled-level candidates and close collaboration with stakeholders to fill roles across Customer Care, Logistics, Inspection and Reconditioning Centers, Market Operations, and ADESA Auctions.

Responsibilities

• Source candidates independently through multiple channels, including social media, Indeed, and the Carvana career site, building a diverse applicant pool.
• Conduct thorough phone screens and in-depth interviews to assess qualifications and fit.
• Provide resumes and screening notes to hiring managers to support interview discussions.
• Perform talent, skills, role-fit, and culture-fit assessments, advising the business based on findings.
• Manage candidate expectations regarding the background check process, coordinating with candidates and colleagues to enable a successful hire.
• Develop strong relationships with hiring leaders and maintain a clear understanding of the Operations teams to advise on effective hiring strategies.
• Maintain a high conversion rate from interview to offer through targeted evaluation and communication.
• Contribute to strengthening the company through thoughtful recruiting practices each day.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including high-volume environments.
• Experience leveraging recruiting software and creative sourcing methods; familiarity with Greenhouse and Tenstreet ATS.
• Proven ability to partner with hiring managers and adapt sourcing approaches to meet team needs.
• Ability to operate with urgency while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills with the ability to adapt to change.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree required.

Important Details

This is a fully on-site role located at Carvana's Tempe, Arizona headquarters, with a Monday through Friday schedule.

Upon hire, the Operations Recruiter will undergo a six-month review and assessment period to verify consistent achievement of role-specific performance and competency standards.
