Job Description

This temporary Talent Acquisition Lead role supports NBA recruiting efforts for hard-to-fill positions. The Project Employee will own full-cycle recruitment, build scalable strategies, and manage talent pipelines with an emphasis on accurate data, inclusive processes, and an excellent candidate experience.

Role Overview

The Project Employee, Talent Acquisition Lead position is primarily onsite in New York, working 4 days per week from the New York office (645 5th Ave.), with the option to work remotely 1 day per week. This assignment is temporary with an expected duration not to exceed 6 months.

Salary range: USD 4,300 - 4,800 per yearly. Compensation is listed as $4,300 - $4,800 bi-weekly.

Responsibilities

  • Own full lifecycle recruitment across multiple lines of business, including content, partnerships, content & media production, NBA and affiliate league operations, corporate functions, technology, and more.
  • Build strong working relationships with hiring managers and business leaders to develop targeted, scalable recruitment strategies that attract and engage high-potential talent.
  • Cultivate and engage high-quality talent pipelines through strong candidate relationships, and perform comprehensive evaluations leading to top-tier candidate referrals.
  • Drive the recruitment process by actively managing and engaging talent pipelines through Talent Acquisition’s tech stack, while maintaining accurate and high-quality recruitment data.
  • Use internal recruitment data and external market intelligence to inform and influence recruiting and hiring decisions.
  • Ensure a recruitment and hiring process that is efficient, rigorous, inclusive, and compliant, with priority on talent diversity, candidate experience, and lawful recruiting practices.
  • Maintain strong cross-functional relationships with teams including Benefits, Compensation, Employee Relations, HR Consulting, and Legal.
  • Contribute best practices and new, innovative ideas drawn from a career as a Corporate Recruiter as part of the Talent Acquisition team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full lifecycle corporate recruitment experience for a global brand.
  • Experience leading searches at all levels and across functional areas including content and media, corporate functions, business operations, and technology.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Highly effective communication skills and a demonstrated ability to manage client relationships confidently and thoughtfully.
  • Highly proficient use of applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other creative search tools and tactics.
  • Deep understanding of recruiting and interview best practices, including the ability to educate and train business partners on effective interview models.
  • Ability to interface with and influence hiring managers at all levels.
  • Experience using internal and external data sources to build recruitment strategies, support informed business decisions, and deliver strategic updates to business leaders.

Work Location and COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement

Onsite work is performed in the New York office (645 5th Ave.). Any individual working onsite in NBA New York and New Jersey offices must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
