As a Locum Tenens Recruiter, you will help assemble dedicated anesthesia provider teams to support locum needs across the nation, handling recruiting, scheduling coordination, credentialing support, and ongoing client communication. Responsibilities

  • Attract and recruit anesthesiologists and anesthetists for locum assignments across the country
  • Perform phone screenings to assess clinical skills and overall fit, then present qualified candidates to clinical leadership
  • Document CVs, outreach activity, demographics, and source data in the database
  • Confirm scheduled coverage through provider contracts with relevant details and addenda
  • Monitor credentialing progress to ensure start dates stay on track
  • Complete all recruiting activities in alignment with policies, procedures, and legal regulations
  • Maintain professional relationships with applicants, facility leaders, outside agencies, and colleagues
  • Track candidate communications in the sales software system
  • Conduct duties in line with Corporate Values and Culture, including the others-first principle
  • Generate locum candidate bookings by setting rates within approved ranges
  • S chedule locum providers in scheduling software and communicate schedule changes to leadership
  • Coordinate with the recruiting assistant to manage travel, payroll, and invoicing details
  • Share essential booking and onboarding information with agencies as needed
  • Source candidates through ads, social campaigns, conferences, phone outreach, and other channels
  • Communicate clearly, accurately, and with a solutions-focused approach
  • Foster trust and alignment among internal stakeholders and external agency partners
  • Partner with Business Development to support locum business growth
  • Provide locum staffing updates to facility clients as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Three to five years of healthcare locums recruitment experience required; anesthesia experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of recruiting and staffing processes and strategies
  • Proficiency with recruiting systems, CRM platforms, and data management
  • Experience managing the full lifecycle of recruiting, including market mapping, name generation, cold outreach, candidate attraction, and candidate management
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Outstanding oral and written communication abilities
  • Solid computer and analytical capabilities
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally and work outside standard hours
  • Understanding of budget and reporting requirements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
