Job Description
Astrolab is building a fleet of multi-purpose commercial planetary rovers designed to explore and operate on distant planetary bodies, and it needs a recruiting partner who can support hiring across both engineering-adjacent and business-critical teams. Based in Hawthorne, CA, this contract role sits within the Talent Acquisition team and focuses on full-cycle recruiting, pipeline development, and a consistently strong candidate experience.
As a Technical Recruiter, you will collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, source qualified talent, and guide candidates through intake, screening, and offer coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to identify and engage talent across manufacturing, finance, operations, and other non-technical corporate functions
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline through proactive sourcing, networking, referrals, and recruiting tools
- Conduct phone screens and initial interviews to assess qualifications, experience, and alignment with company culture
- Partner with hiring managers to define recruiting strategies and provide market insights throughout the hiring process
- Manage full-cycle recruiting, from intake meetings and job postings through offer negotiation and onboarding coordination
- Ensure candidates receive a positive, timely, professional experience at every stage
- Maintain accurate, real-time candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and provide recruiting metrics and pipeline updates
- Promote Astrolab’s employer brand through candidate interactions, networking, recruiting events, and social media
- Support compliant recruiting practices aligned with applicable employment laws, OFCCP guidelines, and company policies
- Continuously look for ways to improve recruiting process efficiency, effectiveness, and candidate quality
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with strong focus on manufacturing, finance, operations, supply chain, and other non-technical corporate roles
- Experience sourcing passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing platforms
- Experience recruiting for manufacturing, finance, HR, operations, or corporate functions
- Experience conducting interviews and managing offers
- Experience recruiting in a government contracting environment, including familiarity with OFCCP, EEO regulations, and audit-ready recruiting practices
- Experience using ATS platforms such as Pinpoint, Greenhouse, or Ashby
- Experience recruiting in a fast-paced, high-growth, or startup environment is preferred
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple requisitions and competing priorities

Compensation and Job Details
- Location: Hawthorne, CA (onsite)
- Salary: USD 93,000 - 125,000 per year
- Experience: 3+ years
- Employment type: contract
- Contract length: up to 12 months with an opportunity to extend based on business need
