Responsibilities

• Lead full‑cycle recruitment for technical and corporate roles, focusing on the East Coast and Midwest; positions include engineering, surveying, construction management, environmental, and corporate support
• Collaborate with hiring managers to define technical requirements, business needs, hiring timelines, and team dynamics to streamline processes
• Design and execute sourcing plans to engage active and passive candidates via LinkedIn Recruiter, industry networks, referrals, associations, and other channels
• Post roles, screen applicants, coordinate interviews, administer assessments, and manage offers with consistent candidate and stakeholder communication
• Drive recruiting initiatives and campaigns aligned with talent priorities and hiring goals
• Maintain accurate candidate records in the ATS to ensure data integrity and a smooth hiring experience
• Proactively build pipelines of engineering and technical talent for current and future needs
• Foster relationships with universities, professional associations, industry groups, and community partners to strengthen recruiting efforts
• Represent MacKay at career fairs, conferences, and events to promote the organization as an employer of choice
• Deliver a best‑in‑class candidate experience through clear communication and timely follow‑up
• Nurture relationships with high‑potential candidates for future opportunities
• Ensure recruiting activities comply with employment laws and company policies
• Utilize Greenhouse and other recruiting technologies to manage flow and maintain data accuracy
• Collaborate with Communications to craft engaging job postings and outreach content
• Coordinate onboarding with Human Resources to meet pre‑employment requirements
• Provide regular updates to the Talent Acquisition Lead on progress, requisitions, and market challenges
• Track key recruitment metrics to refine processes over time

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• 4 to 6 years of talent acquisition experience in the AEC industry or a related field
• Experience developing sourcing strategies across multiple channels, including LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, networking groups, referrals, and social platforms
• Proven success in hiring and building pipelines
• Demonstrated ability to proactively address hiring challenges
• Strong understanding of employment laws, hiring best practices, and market trends
• Experience with ATS and HRIS; Greenhouse and Rippling are preferred
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and with an asynchronous, hybrid team
